Vroom! Vroom!

After the fire station's visit, went over to Funan for lunch. By the time Gaby finished his fishball noodle, he was feeling tired. But he still wanted to go back to the station. But Mr Lee wanted to look for a mobile phone protector cover for his new phone. So we just browsed around the shops at Funan a bit bit. At the same time,we are hoping that Gaby will soon fall asleep.

Wen we reached the second floor, I can see that Gaby is really tired. Mr Lee was carrying him and he has his head on dad dad's shoulder. But suddenly, he just said, ma, look! There is a car car (kiddy ride)! We have been trying hard not to let him see it. Too bad, too late liao...

Fireman Sam at the Fire Station

We visited the Central Fire Station again on Saturday. This time, Mr Lee came along...

Home for 2 years

This has been our home for 2 years...

Last night, after the kids had gone to bed, Mr Lee and myself went to our previous 'home' to clear out some stuff. I was feeling kind of sad that we are finally saying farewell to the house. Friday will be the last HDB appointment and we have to pass the keys to the new owner.

Mummy, where do I came from??

Gaby has started asking me this question a couple of times recently. Isn't it too early for a kid to ask such a question? I am still not ready to explain the birds and the bees to him yet... and also, i think he only wanted to know where he came from and not how he came about. So thankfully, i had both of them by c-section and thankfully i have shown him my scar before. So my reply is "you came from mummy's tummy... see the cut? that's where dr kowa cut mummy tummy and took you out." so far he is quite happy with the answer. sometimes he'll ask if my tummy is still painful or if there still blood on the scar.

And this evening while we were traveling along the highway, he asked me why is the street lamp so bright?

Why oh why???

Alexius wants to help fold some clothes

What are you laughing at??

I have been feeling quite blue these few days... but whenever I look at this clip, I'll feel much better...

Just sitting there is not going to help...

Yes, I can't just sit there and wait for the person to return the lamp to Gaby. I have to do something... and something I did... I printed out some notices and brought them along with me yesterday evening when we went to the playground. Gaby helped to show the notice around when he saw his friends. And we saw Jonathan and his helper, Tuti. She took one of the notices from me and said that she'll help me ask around her friends living in the other blocks. Also, she will check with the block cleaners when she is at the playground with Jonathan the next morning.

Now, I think it really helps! I bumped into Tuti this morning at the lift lobby and she informed that the cleaners at block 6A saw the lamp and he has put it at the bicycle bay. But someone has taken it away. So she suggested that I paste the notices in the lifts of block 6A. Well, i think she is more resourcesful then me. Also, it hasn't crossed my mind to paste the notices in the lifts!

Anyway, I have printed somemore notices today and will put them up in the lifts of the blocks around us. So am keeping my fingers crossed that the person that has the lamp will give me a call on my mobile.

Honesty is the best policy

Gaby brought his Fireman Sam torchlight to the playground yesterday afternoon and lend it to a friend. But he didn't take it back from the boy before coming home thinking that the boy will bring it back to us. Anyway, it's lost!!! It's only a 2 day old torch light from kaiye. Gaby is quite ok with the lost... It's me that's being upset till now. That's becos I know that Kaiye went thru' lots of trouble getting it from UK and then get a friend to bring it back from HK and I have to pick it up from a third friend... long story...

Anyway, I am suspecting that some kids from the playground may have taken it away. Just hoping that whoever has it will return it to Gaby since he is quite 'well known' at this neighbourhood. Is it my wishful thinking that honest people still exist?

Snail hunting

One of Gaby's favourite past time now is to hunt for snails around our neighbourhood. And it seems that there are plenty of them hiding under the bushes! We found at least 10 this morning!

Love Birds

I wonder if these 2 birds have any frustrations in their life...

Junior, Junior... what has gone into you?

My dear Shadow Boy Junior stole Martin's dark premium chocolate from his suitcase y'day evening! I was worried sick that he'll be sick after eating all the chocolates. But he seems ok except that he seemed thirsty.

Left for Chin's place for dinner and left Junior alone at home. Inez brought Poofie to Chin's in the afternoon... I am suspecting that Junior is jealous...

When we came home around 9.30pm, we found Junior's big bag of kibbles in the middle of the kitchen. There is a big hole on the big plastic bag that is over the pack of dog kibbles. I really dun know how much kibbles he has eaten from the pack. But I was worried sick again cos his tummy was soooooo BIG and hard. He seemed to be feeling bloated and he kept panting away. Vomitted like 5 or 6 times altogether. And the amount of food that he vomitted was really alot. Each time was like the quantity that we feed him in a meal! Mr Lee suggested giving him a digestive enzyme pill to help him to digest the food in the tummy. We kept him in my toilet for a couple of hours until Mr Lee feels that it's ok to let him out. There after, he didn't vomit anymore.

This morning when I woke up,I saw Junior sleeping beside my bed. I gave him a poke to make sure that he response to it. Thank goodness, he is back to his normal self again.

I hope he learns his lesson!

Bob the builder for now

Inez came back for a short visit on Saturday and brought back some presents for Gaby. One of the many presents is a pair of rubber boots with Bob the Builder's picture on it. Gaby likes the boots so much that he has to wear it to the playground to show off to his friends there.

And now he tells me that he is not fireman when he has the boots on... he is Bob the Builder! And I'm Wendy, Bob's friend for the Bob the Builder show. So now I'm not Penny from Fireman Sam...

He is really into this imaginary stage... sometimes he'll put a pen on his ear and he'll become Handy Mandy! But most of the time he'll just be Fireman Sam. I wonder what is next...??

I think I am getting too forgetful!!!

Some weeks ago, dad came out of his room after a nap and told me that he couldn't remember if he had had lunch. Then I was like 'rolled my eyes' (not in a mean way)and said to myself that my dad is getting old and forgetful. Also wondering if he is getting senile...

Yesterday, I had a huge breakfast and was still feeling very full during lunchtime. So I thought maybe I will have some noodles when I reached home. But when I was home, I was busy with getting ready for Alexius' porridge and then expressing milk and attending to Gaby that I forgot totally about lunch!

I was wondering why I felt so hungry around 4pm... ate a bak kwa sandwich, 3 bananas and shared a packet of Mamee dried instant noodles with Gaby...

Hmm... I think I am also getting very forgetful like dad!

Alex loves being on the bed

We visited 胖奶奶's last Sunday. Mr Lee wanted to give her some mooncakes. Gaby didn't want to come along cos he prefered to stay home with Timonthy and Titus, our next door neighbours. The 3 of them have just recently become BOF (Best of Friends), they have been playing at the lobby almost every night! Anyways, when we were at 胖奶奶's we were told that Fred and his wife are both trying had for baby. So I suggested to Mr Lee that perhaps we can let Alex 'play' on their bed for a while so as to give them some 'baby luck'.

Catching up...

We met up with some good friends of ours last Saturday for dinner. We had dinner at the nasi padang joint across GWC before proceeding to GVW to la-ko-pi. It was a very lovely evening. Both Gaby and Alex behaved themselves well. Alex was fine with letting all the uncles and aunties carrying him while me and Mr Lee enjoyed our meals.

Gaby didn't want to eat during dinner in the begining. But I think after a while, he became too hungry and thus, finish all the rice that was given to him. Not a lot but I think enough to give him the energy he needed when we were at GWC.

Alex was really tired by the time we had this pic taken. But I guess he was too excited about being at GWC and the people around him that he 'tong' until about 10pm then knocked out.

Gaby was happy just being on the kiddy rides. And this kept him 'entertained' throughout the whole time we were at GWC. Didn't come bother us at all! But after a while, he came to our table and asked if he could have a pic taken with me at the horse ride...

One the way home and during bedtime, Gaby kept telling me that he was very happy the whole day becos he had a new Thomas Train from me, went shopping, met up with his big friends and went GWC. And I added that I was happy too because he was well behaved. And when he is happy, mummy is also happy!

Just some updates here and there

Gaby has started to cough last night and running nose this morning. I really don't know where he caught the virus... could be the playground, the neighbours, the cousins, his friends in school or maybe it's too windy at home?? Anyway, Mr Lee decided to let him rest at home today since his cough was quite bad this morning. Well, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it'll just be cough and running nose and NO fever.

Hmm... but I am just worried that he will pass the bug to Alex...

Dad and mum are still in the process of planning their China trip end of this month. They'll probably be gone for a month or so. It didn't cross my mind earlier but I just remembered that the next Obedience Trial will be on early November. Haizzz... I guess I may have to give this trial a miss. Really wanted to try Poofie out in the Novice and Intermediate Classes. Sorry Mr P, next round...

I think Alex is really trying to 'talk' these days. Have been trying to 'catch' him talking on my camera but haven't been successful. He seems to be saying 'ge ge' all the time. And whenever he sees Gaby, he'll go 'ge ge... ge ge'. Maybe he'll start talking earlier then Gaby?? If I remember it correctly, Gaby started calling me 'ma ma' around 10th or 11th month old?

Also, I've started to sign 'thank you' and 'please' to Alex. I hope he'll learn to sign like what Gaby did when he was younger. Gaby was still signing when he went to school last year. Although he was able to speak clearly, he was still quite used to 'talk' with his hands. I had to tell the teachers in school about it cos I caught him saying 'more' when he wanted some more biscuits from the teachers.

Think I have had too much tea during the day. Not too sleepy yet...

Good boy present

I have been telling Gaby that I will reward him with a new Thomas Train toy if he is a good boy. But not for just one day, he has to be a good boy every day to get this reward.

I saw a promotion video at Carrefour that there is a new Thomas train set that has steam coming out from it's funnel. But I can't find it at Carrefour itself. Guess out of stock la. So I have been looking around the shops hoping to find it for Gaby. and finally, I found it at Raffles City's Robinsons on Saturday when I was out there shopping with Gaby and my parents!

I have to secretly take it from the shelf and pay it. Then I have to get it gift wrapped so that Gaby wouldn't see it.

I gave it to him when he woke up from his nap on Saturday. But I told him that I have bought it for many days but waiting for the right time to give it to him. Cos I have to make sure that he has been a good boy all this while to deserve this surprise present.

He was actually a little edgy when he woke up from his nap. But the moment I told him about a surprise waiting for him, his eyes just sprung open and I could see that he is very excited about the present.
Hmm... I have to brush up my photo taking skills a little... This photo is supposed to show him being very excited about the gift!

Anyway, we open the present slowly and Gaby was helpful... helping to throw the used wrapper away and being 'quite' patient because I have to set it up with the batteries and also water for the steam.

Want to read my palm?

Don't disturb me. Am working on my thesis...

I just have to find the "save" function...

What time is it?

Is it feeding time now or nap time?

Dead Tired Poofie

I have started to bring Poofie for training since Friday. Actually, I was becoming a little bored with training Junior. Not that he doesn't need training anymore... he alrady knew his stuff. But just need polishing up a bit when it's near trial date. And as for Poofie, there are still some stuff that he hasn't learnt. So the experience training Poofie is something different from Junior. Every dog is different, so for now, it's something fresh to do.

But i think Mr P is probably catching up a little on age. He is super tired after a 2 hour session. Has to build up his stamina.

Standing up is not easy

Lately, I notice that Alex likes to stand up rather then sitting down. Whenever I have him sitting on my lap, he'll get edgy easily. And the moment I hold him up to stand on my lap, he is happy again.

And sometimes, when he is in the playpan, he make noise to get anyone nearby's attention. And if you are to hold his hand, he'll try to stand up in the playpan. And he really likes to just stand there and look out of the playpan.

Actually, he isn't that strong yet. Can't even go to a sit position when he is lying down. I guess he hasn't figure out how to do it yet...
