Puppy Love... Hurts... Ouch!

My poor Gaby is not over ZQ yet. This afternoon we were at my in-laws'... Janet was getting her boys ready to visit some relatives and she asked Gaby if he would like to join them. To lure Gaby, Janet told him that there will be some xiao peng you (little friends) there and they can play together. The first response Gaby gave was "but ZQ isn't there what!"

With that, all the adults, 4 pairs of eyes, just looked at one another... and we didn't dare dwell on the topic. It's a very sensitive topic and we din want to get Gaby all upset again.

Poor Gaby... still thinking of ZQ. It's almost a month now... I am just wondering how deep are his feelings for this little girl. And does ZQ misses him as much??

Moo... moo... mooo....mooooooody!

Was telling Mr Lee that I dun seem to be having the CNY mood at all. And instead, has been feeling rather moody. Haizzzzz....

I don't really know why but I feel that I don't really fanzy CNY as much as I used to. I think the main reason is that I really don't like to go around visiting relatives and friends with 2 young kids. Got to bring so much stuff along! Extra clothes, toys, milk bottles, milk powder, breast pump, diapers... Urgh!

And to top it off this year, both Gaby and Alexius has caught a cold a few days ago. They are not seriously ill but it's quite a bother. I have to be watchful with what Gaby eats/snacks so that his cough will not be triggered off again. And Alexius has lost his appetite for porridge since Friday. Urgh! I hate it when Alexius doesn't want to eat his porridge. I think I am super worried that he'll not want to eat porridge anymore for the rest of his life!!! Super paranoid mummy ye? *Gaby just sneezed! I hope it's just a tickly nose and not his cold coming back!*

Last year I was going thru' the same phase with Gaby. I remembered that it was such a 'torture' getting him to eat his porridge. And this year, it's Alexius!

Guess I just have to pray hard that Alexius will recover soon and has his appettite back.

Doing it like a big boy

Gaby has finally agreed to use the toilet like a big boy. But he still feels a little insecure if he has to do it without adult supervision cos the 'adaptor seat' is a little shaky. But anyhow, it's a good improvement cos no he hardly wants to poo poo during meal times.

My babies...

Gaby is coughing and having running nose... but i think running nose has stopped and coughing is recovering.

Alexius, running nose and fever... but also getting better. At least fever only on Sunday nite and running nose seems to have recover this morning.

Junior has a sudden flare of body sores aka pimples. Went to the vet already and now on anti biotics and shaved down his hair. So hopefully he will recover by mid Feb cos we have registered for the Obedience Competition.

Poofie, what else, sneezing more often and sinus again.

I think it's the cold wind recently... hope they all get well soon. CNY is just round the corner!!!

触景伤情

Aunty M visited us yesterday. After dinner, I thought perhaps I can show her the video clips of Gaby's dance performance at last year's concert. So we sat down and I played the video clips on my laptop for Aunty M. She was very amazed at Gaby's performance. Also asked some questions about the other kids that were in the dance item.

It was a lovely evening but somehow or rather, after watching the video clips, Gaby started to become rather cranky. He started to tell me that his teacher told him that there isn't any school cos the school will be closed. And that he doesn't want to go to school and wants to stay home. He became so upset that the started crying and arguing with me about school being closed. I have no choice but to bring him into the bedroom to 'talk' to him. In the end, I spent almost half an hour talking sense into him!

When Gaby was asleep, I told Mr Lee about what happened and both of us feel that Gaby behaves this way because he still cannot get over ZQ. I noticed that when we were talking about his dance item, Aunty M asked him who is his best friend, he said ZQ. He even wanted to show Aunty M his class photo and pointed ZQ out to Aunty M. The whole evening was fine up until we started talking about his best friend ZQ. Guess we have to be more sensitive in future when we talk about his friends... esp ZQ.

My dear Gaby... if you are fated to be with ZQ, you will meet her again somehow or rather. If not... then perhaps it's not meant to be.

Gaby is still talking about ZQ after 2 weeks of school. When ever I ask him about school and what they did in class for that day, the topic will end up about ZQ. And yesterday he said this with a sad face "妈妈，我太喜欢周琦了." (mum, I like ZQ very much)

Alexius has been practising his "walking skills" for some time now. And today, he finally master the courage to do it without aid... But I think he needs to practice more... presenting... walk like a baby orang utang...

Just when I thought Gaby is over ZQ...

Mr Lee told me on Monday that when he fetched Gaby from school in the afternoon, Gaby told him that "when ZQ is back to the school, we can play together". We feel that he still misses ZQ and looking forward to her coming back to the school.

Anyway, these days he isn't very sad that ZQ is not around... he has become close with I-shen. Told me that sometimes they will share their snacks. And also there is Megan that he still "loves"... told me almost everyday that he played with Megan in class.

Fire fire burnt so high!

Actually, it was fire! fire! burnt so low! Last Friday, there was a fire at the basement of our office building. When it broke, I was out at Subway getting a sandwich for Pat. On my way back to the office building, as I was walking nearer to the exit that leads out to the office building, I could smell some burning. When I came out of the underground, I saw thick smoke coming out from the carpark entrance. I was thinking of just walking away but later, I decided to take a video clip of the situation to show my little fireman at home.
I saw many people already standing around the front of the building. I guess the fire alarm must have been activated. The first thing that came to my mind was "How to get my breast milk pump out of the office??" Rang Pat and luckily she is still in the office. She thought that it was just a fire drill and was really surprised that I told her that there was a REAL fire at the basement. Managed to get her to bring down all my stuff so that I can go home and express my milk. Friday was also Alexius kindermusik day so I really can't wait for the building management to give the OK to re-enter the building. Since it was still quite early... just past noon time, so I decided to go to some nearby washroom to express my milk. Hehehe! I went to Fullerton Hotel to do it! The toilet is clean and less people. After expressing my milk, I thought perhaps I can go home in a taxi. But to my surprise, the road in front of the office building was blocked. I saw a couple of policemen and a police petrol car parked at the road entrance. Urgh! no choice lor... go home by MRT lor. But before I go into the MRT station, I took a clip of the fire engines to show my little fireman!


Have to show my little fireman these video clips cos when I called Mr Lee to tell him what has happened, Gaby was in the car with him and he could hear the conversation over the handsfree set. So I have to get myself prepared for questions when I reached home.

Back to work again?

Just went to check on Mr Freezy... looks like he's back to work again. But am not too sure how long he can ta-han.

Mr Freezy is on leave again

Our dear fridge is not working properly again! Haizz.. Mr Lee said he'll get the people to come take a look at it tomorrow. The only thing i worry is Junior's medicine. It has to be kept in the fridge all the time! And also, my milk!

Heart Broken

Oh dear me! My poor little Gaby is heart broken *pi-liang* He was fine on Monday when he reaches school. But when he came home, he kept asking me why Zhou Qi has stopped going to school? Really don't know how to answer that....

On Tuesday morning, he was already upset when we were getting ready for school. All weepy and grouchy. When we were in Mr Lee's car, he told me that he wanted to stay at home cos he doesn't want to go to school. So I asked him why he doesn't want to go to school?? And his reply was that ZQ is no longer in school what!

Yesterday afternoon, again talking about ZQ... he told me that he is very sad. But I told him that he still has other best friends in class... and he said that now he only has Megan...

This morning again telling me that he doesn't want to go to school becos ZQ is not in school anymore... Zhou Qi! Zhou Qi!

My little sugar lumps... time will heal your broken heart...

Happy 12th Anniversary to Me and Mr Lee

Last nite I asked Mr Lee if it's ok that I use his UOB sub card to buy a gift for myself for our 12th anni and he said ok, go ahead. I have been thinking of getting this crystal necklace since Aug. Thought it's very cute. So during lunchtime just now, I went to Swarovski and got it! Paid using Mr Lee's UOB card. And I smsed Mr Lee to thank him for the present.

And Mr Lee, if you are reading this... perhaps you can consider buying the expensive bag for me during Valentine's or me birthday! How? Good idea? Perhaps Ah Peh will keep his words and let you strike 4D soon!

Anyway, thank you for 12 wonderful years! Perhaps we can do a belated celebration sometime next week when u are less bz.

Washy wash wash

I think the school holidays made Gaby really restless. Yesterday when Alexius was taking his bath, Gaby tried to take the toy that I have given Alexius to play with in the tub. This made Alex a little upset and although Reda kept telling Gaby to stop, he just wouldn't listen. I was in the kitchen trying to get ready to feed Alexius lunch after his bathtime. I heard the commotion and went straight to the bathroom and ordered Gaby stop disturbing Alexius and Reda. And since he wants to play with the toy car in the tub, I took the opportunity to get him to do some washing. Yes, washing his toy cars. Gave him a little basin and some soapy water and get him to do it. He seems to enjoy doing it! Kept him occupied for a while while Reda and myself get some of the chores done before giving him lunch!

Back to school

This was in 2007 when he first joined the school... Gosh! I think he has really grown up a lot!
Finally it's Gaby's first day back to school! Am so glad that he seems quite happy to be back to school. He didn't even ask me to carry him when we reached school. I think some of his classmates from last year has decided to drop out and join another school. Did not see Gaby's best friend ZQ just now.
