First Hair Cut...

So finally! Alexius went for his first hair cut yesterday! We went to this saloon that Gaby went for his first hair cut last time. Why? Oh becos they will issue a nice certificate for babies that have their first haircut at their saloon. And the hairdressers there are quite good with small kids. Any, it'll just be a one time off thingy for Alexius cos his hair doesn't grow that fast so perhaps the next time he visit the hairdresser will be together with Gaby. And Gaby always like Aunty Florence to do his hair... I was a little reluctant to let Alexius cut his hair cos they are so soft and fine and I like the feeling of his hair brushing against my cheeks. But Mr Lee has been nagging at me to get them chopped off for so long. And oso I am starting to think that the hair near the ears are ticklish and that's why he is always rubbing his ears... So chop! chop! chop! and now is short! short! short! Looks more boy now!

Bleeding

Alexius has a habit of using his thumb to 'dig' and 'rub' his right ear whenever he is tired, sleepy or agitated. And the result of him doing it is bleeding... but Gaby thinks that this is haemorrhage...

On second thought, could it be his hair near the ear is ticklish and that's why he rubs it so often?

New Fire Engine

Kids are so easily contended. Mr Lee's friend gave him a batt operated kiddy car yesterday. When he brought it home Gaby was so delighted even though the batt isn't working. He is just contended sitting in it. He can't wait for dad dad to fix the batt so that he can bring it to the playground to show his friends!

This is what an exactly 12 month old kid will do...

Guess he is practising how to blow out his candle later...

Goodbye 2008

To much happenings these past few days that I dun wish to talk about it... I'll just post some photos and videos and can't wait for the new year to come!

This is both Lee's enjoying their Xmas supper! Gaby loves xmas cos he gets to receive many presents and surprises! I think I have taught him to be thankful when he receives presents but now that I am typing this, I just remembered that I have totally forgotten to teach him about giving. Urgh! Should have at least make him buy a little present for his younger brother.

Gaby's xmas look! I think more like Noody's look!

Snaking on mummy's bed... Poofie drooling over the snack!

Poofie enjoying the afternoon.

Poofie will not miss any chance of licking... caught him red handed! After we stopped him from licking Gaby's head, he went ahead to Gab's hand!

Lick, lick, lick...

More licky lick!

Saliva all over Gaby's forehead and hair!

Shopping at Vivio

Eve and myself have arranged this meeting a few weeks ago. We wanted to bring the kids... her niece and nephew and mine out to have some fun at Vivo. But in the end, I only had Gaby with me cos I can't handle 2 kids alone. But yesterday turned out to be a fun day for Gaby and myself!

Initially Gaby din want to go Vivo because WH came over in the morning after his dental appointment. He wanted to stay home with WH. But because the outing has been planned and I didn't want to disappoint Eve, I kind of lie to Gaby that WH is not feeling well. Actually, I didn't really lie cos WH indeed wasn't feeling that comfy after having 2 extractions. But anyway, when I mentioned about going to Toys R Us, Gaby started to tell me about the black taxi that he wanted and i agreed to get one for him.

When we reached Vivo's carpark, I gave Eve a call to see where to meet her and she informed that she's already in Toys and is trying to fine a present for Gaby. The moment Gaby heard about the present, his eyes lit up and can't wait to get out of the car to meet Eve.

Met Eve, her mum, Grace (Eve's sister-in-law), Rachel (9 years old) and Kenson (3 years old) at Toys. After the introduction, Gaby didn't show much shyness and befriended the 2 kids immediately. And after half an hour, Gaby has fallen 'in love' with Rachel jie jie. He likes to hold Rachel's hand and have Rachel sit beside him during dinner time. And on the way home in the car and the rest of the evening, he can't stop talking about Rachel and that he likes her a lot. He ranked her the same as Zhou Qi and Meagan now. Urgh! I forgot to take some pictures of Rachel. Perhaps Eve has done so. Will try to find if we can post a photo of Rachel here. She is a very sweet and sensible girl... and very beautiful!

Kenson and Gaby.

So we did some 'shopping' of pressies at Toys and then Kenson wanted to go to the 'playground' before heading to Carls Junior to have our dinner. Eve and company left after dinner. They have been out the whole day so were really tired after having a hearty meal.

As for us, I have to go pick up some organic stuff for my mum-in-law at HarbourFront and then some baby food for Alexius at Giant. Thankfully, we reached home around 8pm and I am still in time to go for a short training with Poofie.

Black/Whites

I remember that when i was young, as in really young... I think probably still in primary school? We can only watch the tv programes in black and white. I remember that I had hoped for a colour tv then. It wasn't cheap to own a colour tv...

Don't blame Mr P

I realised that Gaby has a scratched mark on his face this afternoon. But I remember seeing it when i took a pic of him taking a nap. Since it doesn't look like a painful 'scratch' so i just leave it and not question Gaby about it. But when Reda was giving him a shower, she told me about it and that Gaby told her that it was from Poofie. Ah ha! now I remember... Gaby was disturbing Poofie just now. I think pulling Poofie's front paw or sleeping on P's body that irritated P and so P kind of snapped at him...

In case Gaby falls off the bed

Came home from kindermusik just now and saw that Gaby is still snoozing. And Mr P, our housekeeper is very worried that Gaby will fall off the bed so I guessed that's why he has 'parked' himself on the pillow to be Gaby's 'bed rail'.

And while I am typing away on my lappy, mum is holding on to Alexius as he walks around from room to room. And Mr P is again busy at work, following around them just in case his 'help' is needed.

Yesterday mum told me that while she was swinging Alexius in the sarong swing, Mr P kept breathing hard into the side of her face. She was in a position as if almost lying down on the sofa so that's why Mr P can breath into her face. Anyway, she thinks that he is just trying to remind her not to fall asleep while swinging Alexius.

The special one

This photo was taken last year 13 Dec. I was only 2 weeks away from having Alexius. I can't believe how fast time flies.

Looking back, I feel a little bad on the way I have 'treated' Gaby. I mean the way I punished him when he did something wrong. As I look at the video clips that I took of him, I just can't help but feel very 'bad'. He was still a baby himself then. And I have set high expectations on him. I have been thinking about this for the past few weeks. I guess maybe because I must have felt that he is a 'big boy' as he matured faster then kids of his own age. Looking back now, I must have been blinded by this thought that I have forgotten that he is only slightly more then 2 years old. But thankfully, our relationship hasn't been affected and he is still very much attached to me and showered me with lots of hugs and kisses everyday!

This was taken last Saturday at a friend's birthday party. I was there with Gaby.

I wasn't very sure of how to get to the party venue so have to depend on the GPS thingy in the car. But something went wrong with it and I couldn't set it up. So in the end, I just have to do without it. Gaby kept asking me if I have traveled on the right route. Kept asking me if I have lost my way... blah blah blah... but in the end we did reach the party venue but I spent 45 minutes on the road. I guess I must have taken the longer route there.

On the way home, Gaby told me that he likes going out with mummy alone and after saying this, he took my left hand and give me a kiss on the back of my hand.

Nice drink

Can't remember when I started to like this drink. I think many many years ago. Can't remember who introduced this drink to me either. But I just LOVE IT!

Gime! Gime! Gime!

Just another session of Poofie and Gaby playing with each other.

Join in the Heart Attack

Gaby playing Heart Attack

We were at the playground last evening and the bigger kids were there too. At first the kids were playing catching and running around the playground. I was so worried that they will bump into the little kids at the playground so I went forward and told Lulu that perhaps they can play some other games that doesn't require them to run around the playground. So in the end they decided to have a game of Heart Attack. Lulu always like Gaby and she is quite protective over my little boy. So she let him join in the fun but is very careful that he don't get hit during the game Lulu jie jie is the girl in pink blouse. Not sure about the names of the other 2 kids.

Pearly Whites

Standby the ball in front so that when he wakes up, he dun have to waste time looking for it!

2 dead dogs! Finally the drugs kicked in!

Poofie... Gee! your breath smells terrific!

This is Junior...

Finally P and J went for their dental treatment last week. Vet informed that P has more bleeding becos he has more cleaning. Also did an x-ray for him but thankfully the result is ok... just normal sinius. Guess I have to just bear with the sneezing and mucus. But at least his breath is not so bad now and he is welcome to sleep on the bed without Mr Lee's complaining.

Junior's teeth are generally quite ok. But he was really zombie after the treatment. But Mr P is barky throughout the whole journey home. Maybe the drugs hasn't kicked in?? Anyway, both knocked out when they reached home.

Sweet Dreams my sugar lumps

One afternoon I came home from work and Gaby was sleeping on my bed. When I looked at him, he seemed to be smiling in his sleep. Perhaps from a sweet dream or maybe because he has had a lovely morning. So I snapped this pic... maybe my skills are not good. Couldn't capture that sweet 'hidden' smile of him.

Temple at Philip Street

I am not a religious person. I don't even have a religion in the first place. But recently, after I started work after maternity leave, I have been going to this temple at Philip Street quite oftenly. I started going there becos Pat wanted to go there during lunch time some months ago. And I have been driving past that temple every morning on the way to office and am quite curious how the inside looks like.

So after that first time, I have been going there with Pat whenever she wants to go there during lunchtime. And now I started to like going there... and I really like to look at the 'stuff' in the temple.

New MRT toy for Gaby...
Blue Toyota Taxi
Dad dad and Alexius
Went to Vivo City on Sunday after dinner time because promised Gaby that I will buy him a blue taxi and a mrt toy. And I managed to do a bit of shopping as well. Before we went back home, we went to the deck area to just chill out.

I had a not so happy Sunday but the evening at Vivo kind of made me feel better. At least I didn't go to bed on Sunday feeling bad mood.
