Alex with Gu Ma

Are you talking to me?

Yesterday afternoon I thought I must have mistaken Alexius talking... he is just 8 months old so I dun think he is really talking yet... I was having him on my lap and he was facing Gaby. So I just called him "Didi!" to catch his attention. And I thought I heard his response "huh?" Then he turned and face me a little and i thoughtI heard him say "ma"... and then after a while I thought i heard him say "ge" (for elder brother). I really thought that this couldn't be true... but anyway, I had a dream last nite of him already talking! Was a really lovely dream anyway.

Just now I was in the living room teasing Alex and told mum about wat happened yesterday. Mum told me that she also thought she heard Alex say "ge" this morning!

Hmm... perhaps little Alex is really trying to talk soon!

A morning at the Central Fire Station

Have been telling Gaby abt visiting the fire station for sometime... so this morning we finally did it! Just me and my little fireman! We took a bus there... spent abt 2 lovely hours and then took a bus to the hawker centre opposite our place, have lunch there and then back home! I think Gaby had a great time!

Gaby was really excited the whole morning before we set off. He had behaved himself well during the trip... didn't really ask me to carry him that much. But he is still a little shy and timid. He didn't dare go onto the fire engine cos i think the engine looks really huge!

Visiting Central Fire Station

Have to make sure they load the right stuff into the engine.

This old grandfather takes lots of effort to start his engine.

Haha! I'm tall enough to reach the handle!

Oh, no! This is not a canon hor...

Do you need a good guide round my station?

Let me show you how this should be done.

I will have to sit on my booster seat next time!

I will take the back seat for now...

You have to push this down...

Mum, I am going to drive this engine when I grow up!

A ride on the Red Rhino

Hey! This is a familar road sign!

Alright, time to take a good rest!!!

Junior and Mr Big again

Junior and Mr Big

Piggy Bank

Godma Chloe has returned from her Europe trip some weeks ago and she got Gaby this piggy bank from London. So now Gaby has a habit of asking me for coins to 'tong' into the piggy bank.

Our Pets

Here are the type of pets we have at home. Actually was a little reluctant to put the dogs picture as I don't find them to be pets. They are more then just pets to us!

We also have a tank of fishes but I can't really take a photo of them cos the tank is so dirty that the fishes are not really visible from the outside.

Poofie and Junior enjoying their meals. Both have to go on diet cos they are too chubby!

These are little babies that was supposed to keep the bigger terrapine company but in the end I decided not to put the babies with the big guy in fear that their heads will be chewed off!

We have to watch this big guy closely as he has the tendency of running away from home!

Some new improvements

I was a little frustrated with trying to get Alex to start eating solids the last few weeks. Was actually a little lost as to what I should have done... I done remember having so much problem during Gaby's time. So last weekend, after coming home from trial, and not winning anything, I thought over it and decided to start the process of getting Alex on solids all over again. Ya, all over again....

So yesterday I got Reda to prepare a little plain rice porridge... about the amount of a table spoon... I got this little pot from Pigeon that is for cooking small amount of porridge in the rice cooker. So Reda did what I told her to do. I came home around 3pm... almost forgotten that I wanted to feed Alex! Anyway, I also instruicted Reda not to give Alex any milk after his 10am feed. Alex was quite ok with the porridge. He didn't resist it at all. And after finishing the porridge, I made a smaller bottle of milk for him to fill up the rest of his tummy. Was quite pleased with the progress!

Today, we increased the amount of porridge to slightly more then a tablespoon quantity of porridge. Actually, Alex was a little cranky when I arrived home from work. I was told that he didn't have much milk during the 10am feed. So I guess he must be hungry when I reached home. Also, he seems to be used to having me give him the bottle. Anyway, I gotten the porridge ready and get him to sit on my lap to feed him. At first he was quite cranky, can't seem to sit still. So I let him stand on my lap and to my surprise! He was opening his mouth to get more spoonfuls! I think he was really hungry cos the amount of porridge that I've given him doesn't seem enough! I am more pleased with today's progress!

So tomorrow we'll increase the porridge amount and also add a slice of carrot. Fingers crossed!

Chitty Chitty Memories...

Have I posted these pics before? Can't remember... but I do miss our involvement in CCBB...

Junior on the flying car!

Our last day at the performance. Everyone trying to get the cast to sign on the book.

Poofie doing his Chitty Chitty run without fail!

Us waiting outside the toilet at the back of backstage. I was just about less then a month from having Alex... Sometimes the chair will not be there and uncle has to 'steal' one from one of the cast's room!

This is backstage. We are waiting for the right time to stand by the side of the stage. Hey! Can you imagine me having my baby here at back stage? Better not... later baby will be taken away by the Child Catcher!!

Can you see Junior? He is heading towards the centre of the stage. He's always almost the last one to come off stage cos he'll be bz making sure there isn't any food left on the floor...

What's that you are sniffing?

All the important casts are here la!!

Posing with the flying car...

Gaby also wanted his pic taken with his dogs.

Poofie in MTV - Chinese New Year 2006

Found some old photos of Poofie... these are the ones taken during the filming of CNY MTV.

Visiting the neighbours

Last nite after dinner, I thought Gaby was at the lift lobby playing with Reda. I was in my room trying to get Alex to sleep. When I am done with my chores, I went to look for Gaby and couldn't find him anyway at the lobby. Mr Lee informed that he has gone to Aidan's on the 14th floor with dad. Ok, at least he gets to socialise with his playmates rather then sitting in front of the tv all the time. And I think he has gotten a bit bored with playing by himself.

I got Reda to prepare Gaby's milk and thought he should be home by 9pm. But after 15mins past 9 and no sign of him, I went down to Aidan's to look for them. Gaby was coming out of another neighbour's unit. But I know the neighbour... her in-laws stay in the unit beside us. She has 2 boys, the elder one i think is in primary 1 or kindergarten and the younger one (Titus) is a year older then Gaby.

Neighbour (I must go find out her name cos she is a nice lady and we always talk when we see each other in the lift!) has informed that Gaby has behaved himself well at her place and that she hopes he can come to her place again during the weekends. She told me that Gaby is well-mannered, when she told him that it's time to clean up to get ready to go home, he helped to put the chairs and toys away. He also thanked her for letting him play at their place and wished them good nite.

I was really proud to hear this comment! That's my good little boy!

I have gotten this mysterious blue black over the weekend...

Alright, the heartshaped hairclip looks better on the bear

Little Miss Gaby??

New Fire Engine For Fireman

I think this one is ok... can pull out another mattress tray below

This double decker bed is not really very high...

We have been toying with the idea of getting Gaby a bed. And I saw this fire engine bed in the newspaper one day. And the shop that sells these beds turns out to be just next to Mr Lee's work place... and so happens that Mr Lee kind of know the owner of the shop. I think he may be able to get a discount for the purchase... But we haven't decide on whether we are getting the bed... space constraint...

My Little Buddy With A Big Heart

Really like this outfit Alex is wearing. It's an Old Navy from the pasat malam!

Visiting the doctors

It seems that I have been to the doctors quite often recently... I mean doctors for the human and for the dogs.

Junior has been to the vet 3 times within a month. Yesterday's visit to the vet was to collect the medication that I have to give to Junior for his allergy problem. Gosh! now I have more dates to remember... have to give Junior his medication every three days!

Also can't remember how many times I've been to the doctor's for Gaby's cough... but his cough was recovering then kana the flu virus i think from me and now coughing again...

Alex oso kana the bug from me! Sometimes I really can't remember if I have given medicine to Gaby or Alex... or if I have given Junior his medicine as well! I think I have to draw up a chart on the time and to whom I have given the medicine.

And last nite, I forgotten if I have taken my antibiotics. Got to count the no of tablets that I've taken to ensure that I haven't double fed myself! I have been to the doctors 4 times within a month as well. And he gave me 2 days mc on Tuesday and Wednesday. Better get well before Sunday's Obedience Trial... dun want to cough like mad when I am in the ring with Junior!

Dinner at Jonathan's

Gaby had dinner at Jon's tonite. He was at his place playing and I guess Tuti made enough dinner and so asked Gaby to have his meal there.

Oh, dad told me that after finishing his meal, dad told Gaby to thank Jon's mum for the food. So Gaby politely said "Thank you aunty". And aunty just kind of say "ok"... Gaby replied "how come you didn't say u r welcome?" dad didn't know how to response. ????

Hmm... so Gaby missed having his favourite curry rice for dinner at home tonite. I purposely ask Mr Lee to buy back some dishes from Redhill so tat he can ask the stall aunty for a packet of curry gravy.

Gabriel and Alexius

Another comparison between Gabriel and Alexius.
