Actually wanted to hit dreamland early tonite cos am really tired... but... was feeding Alex his last milk feed for the nite when suddenly Gaby came into my room and ask "mummy carry". But he wasn't weepy... just wanted to be carried. Told him that I will carry him when didi finishes his milk... as promised, after didi finished his milk, I carried Gaby back to his bed and pat him to sleep.
As I was about to hit my bed, Mr Lee looked out of the window and saw 2 police cars, 1 fire engine and 1 red rhino downstairs... there was also some commotion and firemen running and rushing around. Mr Lee suspects that someone is trying to sky dive. Aiya, but i very tired le... guess later then ask him what was the matter la... oh, another red rhino has just arrived with another police car as well... wonders what is the tia jee...???

Pang Tang La
Let me tell you something... I dun think you will even believe what i have to say... Alex has been really difficult during the hungry ghost month and oso on days when there is a funeral wake at the function hall downstairs. Everytime when the prayers start, he'll start crying non stop... that seem to be endless. Mr Lee being very superstitious, feels that it's becos Alex is a 'pang tang' baby. So when such episodes starts, he'll go to our neighbour's shi-liu plant n pluck a little 'branch' with a few leaves and put them in a tiny pail of water. Then he wet a face towel with the water and clean Alex's head. As if by magic, Alex will calm down and stops crying! I din believe it at first... we tried cleaning his with just normal water but it didn't work. Some how or rather, the shi-liu leaves work. So now Mr Lee has gone to buy a big pot of shi-liu to keep outside the house instead of plucking the neighbour's... cos the neighbour's already a little botak.
We have never done this to Gaby when he was a baby... But interestingly, this is the silliest that I've done to stop Alex's nonsense crying... but effective... And now we even have shi-liu leaves under the ti-lum covers.

Wow! New toy ar??

Actually, this is not a new toy. It's an old toy from my girlfriend. Her son has out grown it so she passed it on to me since Gaby is carzy about Thomas the Tank Engine.
We were packing Gaby's toy the other nite while he was asleep and I found that he hasn't seen this one. So I hid it in my room and told Mr Lee that I will tell Gaby that it's a 'good boy present' to him when i come home in the afternoon. And it works! He was so pleased with the toy and din even suspect that it's an old toy!

Just one time
I am not a really boastful person but today, i have to boast a little bit on my Gaby. He is sooo sweet to me today! I have told him one night before bedtime, many many weeks ago that I like to play toys too and if possible, I would like to buy a dolly for myself. So he asked me what kind of dolly I would like to have. I told him that I would like one without apron so that I can cuddle it when I go to bed...
Just now, after he woke up from his nap, I was in the room and he told me that he has bought me a dolly. And that he bought it from school, his YWCA school. So I just played along with him and asked him where is it now. He said it's in this bag and he'll give it to me later. After that he just went on to play with his toys... so I thought he has already forgotten about it.
I was lying down on my bed and he was playing with his toy on my bed and out of a sudden, he said he is going to give me the dolly and asked me to wait in my bed. He then came into the room with his school bag and said that the dolly is in the bag... at first I thought that there is really one in the bag! Was full of anticipation when he unzip the bag. But when the bag was open, there wasn't any dolly in it so I just asked casually, "where is the dolly?" He put his hand in the bag and then pretended that there is one pull it out of the bag. And with both hands, he said "here's the dolly. So now you can sleep at nite cuddling it". I din want to dampen his mood so I said "thank you! Oh, this dolly has no apron!" and he replied "you are welcome". and he just zip up the bag and bring it out of the room. And as he was walking out of the room, he repeated again that I can go to sleep tonight with my new dolly.
I know it's quite silly to pretend but I guess at this stage, he is in the imaginary phase. But I really feel so warm and find him sooooo very sweet to have remember the things we 'chit chat' about during our 'private moments'. And I know that he really loves me to bits!!

Swing Swing Swing...
Ever since Monday, we have been bringing Alex together with us when we send Gaby to school. This morning, as usual, we brought him along. He seems so happy being in his big brother's school! We even let him play at the swing for a while. Before I have my phone camera out, he was 'chatting' away... seemed to be saying "哥哥的". But the moment the camera is rolling, he kept quiet... Maybe he is camera shy!
